The principal work of the Church is worship, and the Cathedral of Saint Andrew is justly renowned for its preaching, liturgy and music.

SUNDAYS

The Cathedral Church of Saint Andrew offers three opportunities for worship every Sunday at the following times:
7 am - Holy Eucharist (Quiet and Reflective)
Holy Eucharist with a short sermon and no music.

8 amKa Eukalikia Hemolele (Hawaiian Eucharist)

The Hawaiian Eucharist is a sung service incorporating Hawaiian language prayers, hymns and scripture and a sermon in English. The Cathedral’s Hawaiian Choir supports the congregation in the singing of hymns and service music as well as offering an anthem in Hawaiian.

An Aloha hour of fellowship follows this service on the lanai on the Diamond Head side of the Cathedral.

10:30 am - Sung Eucharist with the Cathedral Choir

The Choral Eucharist at the Cathedral is the second sung service each Sunday. The Cathedral Choir offers leadership to the congregation in the singing of hymns and service music as well as offering two anthems from ages past to present day compositions.

An Aloha hour of fellowship follows this service on the lanai on the Diamond Head side of the Cathedral.

5:30 pm - Evensong and Sacred Concerts

The Voice of Prayer is Never Silent

These words from the beloved hymn "The Day Thou Gavest" express a beautiful truth of our Anglican heritage The liturgy of the Church is prayed every morning and evening around the world, in great cathedrals, small chapels, and by individuals in the quiet of their rooms. Morning and Evening Prayer, the Holy Eucharist, Compline at the end of the day, are ways we sanctify each day through our prayer. We began weekly Evensong on Wednesdays about a year and-a-half ago. This is a quiet, contemplative service with music from the Taizé community in France.

The Cathedral of Saint Andrew Celebrates Evensong or a Sacred Concert every Sunday at 5.30 pm. Evensong is often the crowning jewell in a cathedral's full and busy life on a Sunday. The Cathedral Choir will continue to sing on the first Sunday of every month. Other Sundays will feature the Priory School Chamber Choir or Colla Voce, a women's ensemble at UH founded by one of our Choral Scholars. On Sundays when there is no choir, we will use the rich music found in our own hymnal.

Evensong is usually is finished by 6:15 pm. So enjoy a full day, come and praise God in this beautiful service, and still have an evening with family and friends!
