Christian Formation Offerings through Pentacost (12 June 2011)
Education is one of the highly felt needs of the majority of the world today. As our Lord said, “go make disciples...teaching them.” There is a pressing need to train spiritually mature Christians who can extend the faith once delivered to the saints.
Confirmation Classes Begin 8 May
Preparation for Adults and Young Adults who wish to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church will begin 8 May at 11:30 in the Von Holt Annex.Confirmation “is the rite in which we express mature commitment to Christ, and receive strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop.” This sacramental rite is especially appropriate for those who were baptized as infants but may be received as part of an adult affirmation of faith. It will take place during the regional liturgy at the Cathedral of St. Andrew on June 12, the Day of Pentecost, the day the fullness of the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles. For information please contact Cynthia Carson or leave a message at 524-2822 ext.508.
